When I met Steve & Kathryn to hear what they were looking for with their photos, they warned that there was a possibility that Steve would be on crutches. He was due to have surgery on his ankle before the wedding that would take months to heal. So kudos to Steve for being up and at ‘em with two feet (though I’m not sure how the one foot fit into his dress shoes!) If he looks a little serious in the photos, it’s because he’s masking his uncomfortableness. Kathryn’s smile more than balances it out!
The Chatham Armoury is probably my favourite wedding venue to photograph, and I was happy to hear the couple had chosen it. Here are the highlights from their wedding, featuring a tiny car, a giant veil, and the largest gathering of cigar smoking this side of Cuba.
We had some time between photos and the reception, so we walked across the street to the Legion!
Steve’s family has a tradition at family gatherings known as “Cigar Time,” which happened in huge numbers at the wedding.
